Emergency Dispatch British Columbians Count On

Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, our members are ready to help those in need. When you call 911, our highly-trained dispatchers work with emergency responders to ensure that you receive help quickly and efficiently.

Our facility is the Public Safety Answer Point (PSAP) for the primary 911 calls for 84% of the Province, including northern, central and southern regions of BC and also the north and central Vancouver Island. What this means is that when you call 911, you are connected to a call taker in Metro Vancouver that will then determine which service you need and which agency the call needs to be transferred to. You are then transferred to the appropriate agency within the Province.
